Six Sundays at the Station is an exciting new series designed to immerse participants in a variety of themed tour experiences, activations & activities throughout the year.

Spaced out every two months, this series showcases unique themes that highlights different aspects of Q Station’s rich history and stunning surroundings. Whether you’re a local, guest or day visitor, the Six Sundays at the Station promises a memorable day. Book in quick, spots are limited.

JUNE 29TH: CURES & CURIOSITIES

Step back in time and embark on a thrilling adventure with Cures & Curiosities: Quest for the Cure at the historic Q Station Manly! In this exciting scavenger hunt, teams will delve into the secrets of the past to help the Superintendent of the Quarantine Station uncover the mystery behind a deadly illness spreading among the residents. Follow the instructions, solve the puzzles, and explore the fascinating grounds of the station to piece together the clues that will lead to the cure. It’s the perfect blend of history, intrigue, and fun – a unique way to discover the haunting beauty of Q Station while putting your detective skills to the test. Gather your team and prepare for an unforgettable adventure!

9:30am – 10:30am: Burial Ground History Tour

Before the Third Quarantine Cemetery at North Head was established, two earlier burial grounds bore silent witness to the stories of those who never made it through quarantine.

Join us for a compelling one-hour guided tour that unveils the hidden history of Q Station’s original quarantine cemeteries. Discover how early quarantine practices shaped the lives-and final resting places-of those affected by infectious disease in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Learn why the only physical reminders of these earlier cemeteries are the headstones now preserved in the Q Station Museum. This immersive experience provides essential context and intriguing insights into the evolution of quarantine burials at North Head. It’s the perfect prelude before continuing your journey with the Harbour Trust’s Third Quarantine Cemetery Tour just up the hill.
