swimwear and a towel are required when using the sauna. please do not use the sauna naked. you may wear whatever you feel comfortable in, including a swimsuit, swim shorts, or other appropriate swim attire. anyone using the sauna without appropriate swimwear and a towel will be asked to leave
we recommend arriving at q station 30 minutes before your booked session, especially if it’s your first visit. this allows plenty of time to check in and be transported from reception to the wharf precinct. please arrive at the sauna 10 minutes before your session begins so you have time to settle in before your experience starts

as we are located within a national park with endangered wildlife, and 1-way roads, driving is not permitted. we offer a complimentary shuttle service to assist you get around the property
boat anchorage must be before the buoy line in front of quarantine beach, as the area is a marine sanctuary. wharf access is also not permitted as it is closed for renovations. if coming to quarantine beach, a dinghy can be used past the buoy line
yes, you can ride your ebike on-site, provided you follow the property’s speed limits. for everyone’s safety, ebikes are not permitted on the wharf or jetty
there are no dedicated bike racks or bike storage facilities available. however, there are rails around the property where you can securely lock your bike using your own bike lock
we recommend wearing comfortable, enclosed, flat shoes as the national park and heritage site can include uneven ground with inclines and steps
please be cautious when entering older historic buildings and always watch your step and follow any sign / guide instructions
please be mindful when walking at night, due to national park restrictions, some areas may have minimal lighting
you are welcome to use your phone torch if needed but please keep to main accommodation / hotel areas at night which provides more light
keep a safe distance from wildlife – do not feed or approach them. if concerned, please notify staff immediately
harbour heat runs rain, hail or shine – the sauna experience continues in all weather conditions. if anything changes on our end, we’ll be in touch directly before your session
guests must be 11 years or older to use the sauna. under-18s must be accompanied by an adult
if you’re pregnant, have a heart condition, or a health condition that heat exposure may affect, we recommend checking with your doctor before booking. please let our team know in advance if you have any concerns, so we can help make sure your session is a comfortable one

we were fortunate to partner with cedar & salt at q station for two wonderful winters in 2024 and 2025. unfortunately, due to compliance requirements relating to the operation of q station, we are unable to have third-party businesses operate on the site – so as much as we’d have loved to, we couldn’t bring cedar & salt back in 2026
we have huge respect and appreciation for rob and everything cedar & salt has achieved locally and for the sauna industry, and we will continue to support him and wish him all the best. we now offer harbour heat, our own sauna experience on-site, and we hope you’ll enjoy it just as much

it is a 35-minute walk from manly or a 5-minute uber/taxi ride
alternatively, you can catch a public bus or use the q station shuttle service to travel to and from manly wharf
for sauna guests, we also offer a complimentary shuttle bus service to help you get to and from your sauna session
there is complimentary parking at reception for all guests and visitors at q station. we do suggest the local 161 bus from manly or use taxi/ubers

q station is a smoke‑free property except in designated smoking areas. please refer to the q station map to locate these areas and ensure you are smoking or vaping only in the permitted zones
